Hi! My name is Michael Cloutier! I’m from Montreal in Canada! I always worked and studied art since the beginning of my journey. I’ve been studying graphic design and cinema for 6 years and worked as a freelance photograph and art director for 2 years mainly in advertising compagnie or for musique festivals and cinema. 

10 years ago I got tired of my field of work, and I got curious about the process of tattooing. Which got me on this road and and which was the start of a long story of love between me and this art.

I tried a lot of different things, style, stuff and since that day I’m still looking to create my own path. I have done realism, graphic, geometric, illustrative, colour work and a lot of different other style. But mainly I would say that I presently do altered colour simplified realism. (I know it’s sound complicated and weird, but i wouldn’t know how to describe the exact style! Haha)

I love doing anything related to horror movies and horror stuff, birds, video games culture, manga, comics, and Japanese culture in my own way! But I’m always looking for my next goal, and a way of re-inventing myself! I feel totally blessed and grateful to be able to do everyday what I love and to share my work with the world. It’s totally a gift that I cherish each day.

I’m also a big fan of sports, keeping myself healthy, and outdoors adventures such as hikes and discovering new country and areas! Which is awesome and can be perfectly paired with with tattooing! I also do music with my project named botaniste. I think it’s also really important to touch as much as possible different type of arts and to learn from them and transpose them in your work after! 

I’ve proudly been in the fusion ink pro-team for around 6 years now and I have been using them for 8 years! I just love the colour palette, the consistency of the ink and the way they healed and age! Some of my favourite are of course the greyscale palette that I over use a lot haha and the skintone palette as well! As for the colour I’m a big fan of the brick red, jeff gogue super red, cool mint, pretty purple, magenta and many more!

I can’t wait to see what the future as for me!

Oh and yeah… I love cats!…. Like a lot….
