Meet Jackson. A 31 year old, Perth based Tattoo Artist. He first started tattooing in 2009 and is now a proud co owner of Youngbloods Tattoo Studio in Rockingham, Western Australia. 

Jackson originally studied screen studies at TAFE, then found an apprenticeship at a local Tattoo studio. After drawing designs for his friends to get tattooed, he figured he could probably do the tattooing as well as the designs, so headed in that direction and hasn’t looked back. 

He has travelled all over Australia for conventions taking home awards and one of his biggest achievements was coming Runner Up in the Australian Tattoo Series. He has since taken on a new role of being a Judge at the Rites of Passage Tattoo festival in Melbourne. 

His favourite style to tattoo is colour realism, pop culture & celebrity portraits. He was fortunate enough to travel to America and participate in a workshop hosted by Nikko Hurtado, Steve Butcher and Boris, some of his biggest artistic influences that helped mould his own style.

A fun fact - If Jackson wasn’t a Tattoo Artist he’d like to be in a heavy metal band.
