I’m Ben Ochoa, and I started tattooing in 2008. Starting from a little private studio to now owning my own Shop has been such a surreal experience. Its been a long but well worth journey. Art has always been a part of my life since as far as I can remember. I still remember the first coloring book from my younger years being only dabbled in pencil drawings, and then I was introduced to graffiti. When i started digging into the graffiti world at about 13 years old it changed my whole perspective on art and I went from thinking I knew everything about my art to not knowing much at all. It was such a humbling feeling that I carry that with me to this day which continues to keep me pushing and keeps me grounded. Art has always been my outlet and one of my greatest loves and High School was where I learned and blossomed. There are so many concepts that I am still applying and using to this day for tattooing. I always knew I wanted to have art as a career but never dreamed it would be this. I can honestly say I stumbled into it and was able to make it into a career through years of hard work and dedication. Every day I use my disadvantages to my advantage and if I’m being completely honest id say I thrive in adversity. and I believe that that is what has brought me here to this point.

When it comes to tattooing, Im not one to limit myself to one style, but if I were to say I specialize in anything it would be color. Although the main subjects I enjoy tattooing the most would be pop culture icons and characters, anything in the movies, monsters, comics, and of course anything batman related. When Im designing a tattoo using characters I like to reference statues and figures to take a character from looking flat to being 3D. And if I can tell a story in my design you better believe I will. Having the right colors in your arsenal is key to achieving the look and feel you want in your work.

Throughout my career I have tried probably every name brand tattoo ink out there, always unsatisfied. For most of my career I have used Fusion, once I tried it there was no turning back. As you read this now take my word for it fusion is the best tattoo ink out there. The pigments go in and heal nice and solid, what you see in the bottle is what you get in the skin. I’ve said it before, sponsored or not I will use fusion until my days of tattooing are over. I’ve recently opened my own shop in Anaheim, Manor No.9 and if that wasn’t awesome enough ill soon be releasing my own signature ink set with fusion. I still can’t believe it and I’m super excited to show everyone what I’ve been working on so keep an eye out for that. Thank you fusion for always being honest with me and treating me like one of your own.

Fusion tattoo ink if you're not using it are you really tattooing?
